In the DANHIRE WORKSHOPS we had a Trailer come in for service which had been
Barn Stored during Covid lockdowns.

On checking Brakes the Linings had become detached from the brake shoes,
so badly in need of a full brake overhaul.
Plus, all four wheels were a different size and well passed their safety date.
Showing tyres being made in year 2000!!
That’s 24 year old!!
Just shows how important to have your trailer regularly serviced
This is a really good example. The first two pictures show decay creeping through the side panel and ramp on a Horse Trailer.
The customer being very particular with the trailer as it is used weekly to transport her horses, decided to renew all the panels, the two ramps and jockey door!
Once dismantling the trailer we discovered how bad it really was under the inner support panels and trims.
Just goes to show how a little can develop into larger corroded area.
A job well worth doing.
Trailer now looks new again.
Bet the horses will feel better and travel well now 🙂

The brake lining (which is bonded on) has started to lift off.
In time this could get jammed within the brake drum.

DANHIRE TRAILERS recently dismantled a Supreme 2000 model Richardson Horse Trailer and refitted with new flooring and side panels.
